Globally an estimated 6 million people suffer throiugh burns
each year, with many requiring hospitalization in specialized
burn units. Although many thousands still die from burn-related
complications and infections, medical advances in the care and
treatment of burn injuries has resulted in an ever increasing
number who survive the hospital care to have a new life ahead
of them - a life in which a support service such as BSO will
be all important in their continued recovery.
